Tools of the Trade

I worked on a collaborative self promo project with my colleagues at Curio Studio, called Tools of the Trade. Though print techniques have become increasingly sophisticated in this digital age, the tools that predated them continue to make print a tactile and beautiful medium of communication. The handcraft of older tools, combined with current print techniques, can render print pieces that are truly unique.

Celebrating these aspects of design and printing is what Tools of the Trade is all about. This piece was printed by Capital Colour Press.

I created three of the nine: Paint cans, printing press and Rulers. Mine included some special printing techniques like spot UV varnish, metallic ink and speciality paper. Check out @whatiscurio for all the others and process involved with making this promo!
